THE SCOTTISH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC - TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
IMPORTANT: ALL ACCESS TO AND USE OF THIS WEBSITE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
This website is owned and operated by The Scottish Investment Trust PLC. It has been approved by its wholly owned subsidiary SIT Savings Limited.
Entry to and any use of this website constitutes your agreement to abide and be bound by the Terms and Conditions below and as amended from time to time. Furthermore, due to the legal and regulatory restrictions applicable to investment saving schemes, it is essential that you read, understand and accept these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are in addition to any other agreements entered into between you and The Scottish Investment Trust PLC and SIT Savings Limited.
If you do not agree to all of the Terms and Conditions below, please leave this website immediately. If you have any queries relating to these Terms and Conditions, please e-mail us by clicking on this link.
1. PARTIES
These Terms and Conditions, and your acceptance thereof, form a contract between you ("you") and The Scottish Investment Trust PLC and SIT Savings Limited (together "SIT").
2. REGULATORY INFORMATION
This website is intended for your personal, non-commercial use only, unless you and SIT have agreed otherwise in writing. The information contained within this website does not constitute a recommendation or an offer or an invitation to offer by or on behalf of SIT for you to apply or subscribe for, or acquire, any securities.
SIT products are aimed at United Kingdom residents or citizens only and the information and products contained within this website should only be accessed by United Kingdom residents or citizens. By proceeding, you are representing and warranting that you are not resident in, or a citizen of, a jurisdiction outwith the United Kingdom. If you are unable to make this representation and to give this warranty, you should leave this website immediately.
We strongly recommend that you refer to the Key Features documents relating to all of the products available or referred to on this website before applying for any product or securities available on or referred to within this website.
SIT Savings Limited is the plan manager of the various products referred to within this website and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. SIT Savings Limited is not authorised to offer investment advice to individual investors and nothing contained within this website should be considered to be or relied upon as constituting investment advice. Unless otherwise specified in this website, it is your responsibility to determine the appropriateness or suitability of any investment for you based on your own objectives and your own personal and financial situation. You are strongly recommended to take independent financial, tax and/or legal advice before entering into any financial transaction.
You are advised that the levels and bases of, and reliefs available from, taxation can change, and any present or future tax reliefs available in respect of an investment in a SIT Savings Limited product depend on your individual circumstances. Market and currency movements may cause the value of investments and the income and other returns from them to fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invested when you decide to sell your investments.
The price of any securities mentioned within this website and the income payable in respect thereof may go down as well as up and any past performance figures shown are not indicative of future performance. Changes in exchange rates may cause the value of underlying overseas investments to go down as well as up.
SIT has a long term policy of borrowing money to invest in equities in the expectation that this will improve returns and, should stockmarkets fall, such borrowings would magnify losses on these investments. For planning purposes, an investment in The Scottish Investment Trust should be viewed as a long term commitment.
