Preliminary Figures for the year to 31 October 2011

The Scottish Investment Trust PLC invests internationally and is independently managed. Its objective is to provide investors, over the longer term, with above average returns through a diversified portfolio of international equities and to achieve dividend growth ahead of UK inflation. Today it announces its results for the year to 31 October 2011.

As of 2012, universities in England will be able to charge up to £9,000 a year in fees (up almost threefold from the current charge of £3,290).  This means a three year degree course could cost £27,000 - and that's before factoring in any living expenses, which could also rise sharply
